DRESS CODE
You are advised to dress in formal clothes for your Graduation. An appropriate choice for formal attire is shirt and tie for the gentlemen and evening gown for the ladies. You may also choose to wear a traditional dress.

BEFORE GRADUATION CEREMONY
✔️Check dates for your graduation
Make sure to check the date, time, session and venue of your graduation ceremony.
✔️Attend Information Session
Information given during the session will be uploaded to this website.
✔️Ensure graduation clearance is completed
All students are required to complete Graduate Clearance prior to the graduation ceremony.
✔️Pay graduation fees
Check for fee, details and make the payments on/before the specified date.
✔️Hire regalia
ON GRADUATION DAY
✔️Arrive for your graduation
Dress according to the Graduation Dress Code and arrive at the specified time and venue on time.
✔️Leave personal belongings
Graduands are not permitted to carry items during the ceremony. Please leave items such as purses and cameras with a Guest. The college is not responsible for any lost or misplaced belongings. Electronic devices should be turned off during the ceremony.
✔️Line-up
Line up at the stipulated location (You will be guided by a supervisor).
✔️Procession
Enter the graduation venue in the procession.
AFTER GRADUATION DAY
✔️Returning of regalia
Return the regalia on the specified date and location. You are required to bring the regalia receipt while returning the regalia. The deposit amount will be refunded upon returning the regalia after the ceremony. Important: For late return of regalia, you will be fined MVR50 per day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION (FAQ)
Q: Is there a rehearsal?
A: No, there will be no rehearsal. However, a compulsory information session for graduating students will be held online.
Q: If I attend my Graduation ceremony will I get my certificate and transcript there or will it be ready for collection later?
A: Your certificate and transcript will not be distributed on the day of the Graduation Ceremony. You will be duly notified when they are available for collection. Please note that certificates and transcripts will only be issued upon the completion of the graduate clearance process.
Q: I am not attending graduation, how do I collect my certificate?
A: Once your certificate is ready for collection, Villa College will notify you via SMS with the details of the collection procedure. Please be advised that certificates and transcripts will only be issued after the completion of the graduate clearance process.
Q: Can I invite more than 1 guests?
A: No.
Q: How long is the ceremony?
A: The ceremony is expected to last approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Q: Can the College provide a letter inviting me and my family member to attend the ceremony so that we can be excused from work?
A: Yes, the college can provide a letter stating the details of the ceremony.
Q: Will there be a live telecast on the Graduation Ceremony?
A: Yes, there will be a live telecast of the Graduation Ceremony on VTV.
Q: I graduated last year but I was unable to attend my graduation ceremony. Can I take part in the upcoming graduation?
A: No, unfortunately such requests are not accommodated. Only students who have been conferred degree for that particular Graduation and whose names have been endorsed by Academic Senate and Villa College Council will appear in Graduation Book. These student only will be allowed to attend the Graduation.
Q: Where can I store my personal belongings during the ceremony?
A: There is no storage available. Please leave all personal items (including purses, phone etc.) at home or with a family member/friend during the ceremony. The college is not responsible for any lost or misplaced belongings.
